SCHOOLS CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS MANAGER

Reporting to the Deputy Director for Percent for Art, the School Construction Projects Manager is responsible for facilitating all the steps associated with commissioning new permanent artworks in schools, in collaboration with the School Construction Authority and the Department of Education through the Public Art for Public Schools program. A key component of this work is extensive interagency coordination and outreach to artists, community members, and civic organizations, which the Projects Manager facilitates. Additionally, the Projects Manager maintains project files and image registry, and occasionally conducts research about public and visual art-related topics. When needed, the Projects Manager represents the program to the field at public meetings or panel convenings.


STOCHASTIC LABS SUMMER RESIDENCY

The Stochastic Labs offers fully-sponsored residencies to engineers, artists, scientists, and entrepreneurs from around the world. Residencies include a private apartment at the mansion, co-working and/or dedicated work space, shop access, a $1,000 monthly stipend and a budget for materials.

FELLOWSHIP LEADER

This role will act as the lead educator and coordinator of More Art’s Engaging Artists Fellowship program for emerging socially-engaged artists. This position will require some after hours and weekend work, in addition to regular business hours for an average of 16 hours per week. The weekly time commitment varies month-to-month, averaging out to approximately 16 hours/2 days per week. Engaging Artists (EA) is More Art’s core program geared towards early career/emerging artists working in public art and social engagement. The program is two-tiered to include an annual artist-in-residence for 1 artist (which carries a commission of $8,000+) and a year-long workshop-based professional development Fellowship for 8 artists. Specifically, the Fellowship Leader will guide the latter, developing and leading a robust curriculum tailored for the EA Fellowship cohort, and facilitating a collaborative, productive, and safe environment for the group.

PROGRAM MANAGER

As Program Manager, at City Labs, you will work on a team that includes a Program Designer and the current Program Manager, who manages and schedules field staff, and is often on the street supervising and ensuring the quality of Street Lab's pop-ups across the city. WOODSTOCK, IL PUBLIC MURAL

Woodstock is the arts and culture focal point of McHenry County, Illinois. The Historic Woodstock Square is home to the Woodstock Opera House, Stage Left Café, and numerous other arts and entertainment venues. In its most recent downtown development plan, the City identified the creation of public art in the Woodstock Square Historic District as a goal. The commissioning of a new mural in the historic district is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to give residents and visitors opportunities to engage with the arts.

CALL FOR ARTIST: TRAIL OF OF TEARS ART SHOW

The Trail of Tears Art Show (TOTAS) began in 1972 to foster the development of painting as a form of expressing Native American heritage in the Cherokee Nation and neighboring areas. The first few shows were held in a rain shelter at the Tsa La Gi Amphitheater, in the area we know now as the Cherokee Heritage Center. In 1975, TOTAS was the first major temporary exhibition of the Cherokee National Museum. In 2021, TOTAS celebrated its 50th annual event, which for the first time was held virtually and in person. The show has expanded its categories and prizes for artists over the years, becoming the longest-running juried Native American art show in Oklahoma.TOTAS is open to all citizens 18 and over of a federally recognized Native American tribe

EL MATADERO CURATORIAL RESIDENCY

CLIMATE CHANGE RESIDENCY

Santa Fe Art Institute’s thematic residency program is open to individual artists, Collaborations, and families of all artistic disciplines whose work addresses the global impact of climate change. Awards of $500 are also available to selected BIPOC artists residing in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Texas, or Oklahoma.

ABBEY MURAL PRIZE

The Abbey Mural Prize aims to broaden support and recognition of the vital role that murals play in making public space more open and accessible. Grants are awarded to create or restore public murals, especially those that promote accessibility, serve local audiences, and inspire community dialogue.

ARTSTART GRANT

ArtStart Grant Program has been a catalyst for cultural activity in the local Newark arts community. The program offers mini-grants to community members, schools, non-profits and individual artists with the aim of nurturing a broad spectrum of arts and cultural activities involving young people and/or taking place in our neighborhoods. By seeding these innovative programs, Newark Arts continues to fulfill its mission of powering the arts in locations that are often overlooked by traditional programs, and stimulating economic and cultural activity on a hyper-local level.
