PUBLIC ART PROJECT AT WASHINGTON SCHOOL OF THE DEAF
The Washington Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth (CDHY) and the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) invite individual artists or artist teams to design and create a unique artwork for the new Academic and Physical Education Building on the Washington School for the Deaf (WSD) campus.Open to artists residing in the United States and British Columbia, Canada. Deaf and hard of hearing artists as well as artists with a strong connection to the deaf community are strongly encouraged to apply.

Seavees is hosting their first annual Daydreamer Contest where they will give one winner $10,000 to go after their dreams and access to their Daydreamer Collective, a community of dreamers who believe -that business can be a force for good. Last month, Mayor Robert M. Palmieri announced that reconstruction of the iconic “Sunburst” wall at Liberty Bell Park. Now, the City of Utica is seeking qualified artists to create a mural to complement the awesome platform Liberty Bell Park presents in Downtown Utica. The City of Utica has budgeted $100,000 for the completion of the mural project. Interested artists and teams should submit the following information via a flash drive to the Board of Contract and Supply.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE INTENSIVE FOR ARTISTS
In this four-part class, hosted by the Alternative Art School with Lexa Walsh, students will take advantage of the New Year’s energy to get cracking on their career goals. The class will cover the big picture of Goal Setting, Grants, Residencies, Budgets, CVs, Artist and Project Statements, Elevator Pitches, Documentation, Websites, Networking and Promotion, and the importance of Community. The class will share tips and strategies to help define and finesse each of these, by identifying audiences, contexts, processes, research and challenges. There are partial scholarships available.

HUMAN RIGHTS & THE ARTS FELLOWSHIP
The Open Society University Network Center for Human Rights & the Arts invites applications for two one-year research and teaching fellowships in human rights and the arts. The positions are open to individuals working in a variety of fields where human rights and the arts intersect, including artists, curators, researchers, scholars, writers, filmmakers, advocates and activists. The fellowships cover a period of one year, i.e. two academic semesters, from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, and are supported by a full-time salary and health benefits. ChaNorth, Chashama's upstate artist residency has been located just outside of Pine Plains, NY in the Hudson Valley since 2006. ChaNorth accepts applications in all creative fields, including but not limited to VISUAL ARTS, WRITING, MUSIC COMPOSITION, CHOREOGRAPHY AND PERFORMANCE. Each month-long session has up to 7 artists, which ChaNorth curates with the aim of creating small, dynamic, diverse, interactive groups. National and international artists are welcome to apply.

The City of San Mateo, CA is excited to announce that we are seeking professional and/or emerging artists to complete a Racial Equity Art Project in Downtown San Mateo which will be painted in the center of one or both of the Pedestrian Malls on B Street in Downtown San Mateo. We are looking for artists to design a painting that represents San Mateo’s diversity and commitment to racial equity. The artist selection will occur through a multi-phased process. The first step in the process is this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) where we are inviting artists to submit their portfolio of work and their approach to this project. The City’s Civic Arts Committee anticipates choosing five finalists that will receive a $1,000 stipend to develop a proposal, including a rendering of the artwork for the site. This RFQ is open to all artists, with priority consideration given to those living in or having a relation to the City of San Mateo or San Mateo County. Artists of color and BIPOC, women, LGBTQ++, and members of historically marginalized groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

THE FUTURE CULTURE CREATIVE PLACEMAKING GRANT
The Future Culture Creative Placemaking Grants support Staten Island artists creating new work in a community setting.
Four grants are awarded in the amount of $2,500. This grant category is for Staten Island artists creating new work in a community setting that connects places and people using arts and culture on Staten Island’s North Shore. An essential element of this funding is community engagement. The project must engage a segment of the community through a public program and/or the inclusion of community involvement in the development and creative process of the project.

The ABC (Arts Bring Change) Regrant program supports local cultural organizations and/or individual artists working in partnership with public schools to engage K-12 public school students in rich artistic learning experiences.

As part of NYC DOT’s efforts to make our streets more pedestrian friendly, the agency continues to reclaim underutilized street space for pedestrian use whether it be a curb extension to create larger waiting areas at corners with a more direct crosswalk; a slip lane closure to encourage pedestrian circulation along the curb line adjacent to a heavily trafficked sidewalk; or an entire street transformation from that of a thoroughfare for cars into an active public space for pedestrians to stop and linger. All interested professional architects, artists and/or graphic designers (the “Artists”) are eligible to submit past work in response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to be selected to develop and install a final design at one of a series of asphalt street spaces (the “Project Sites”) designated by NYC DOT.

NXTHVN STUDIO & CURATORIAL FELLOWSHIP
Each year NXTHVN welcomes up to seven artists and two curators to participate in its paid 10-month intensive Fellowship Program. Each fellow will receive studio or office space, a stipend, and subsidized housing. Selected from an international pool of applicants, fellows relocate to New Haven to participate in NXTHVN’s mentorship-driven curriculum which includes professional development sessions led by visiting artists, curators, scholars, and practitioners. Selected fellows are also matched with a high school apprentice, for focused one-on-one mutual learning, which gives the next local generation a chance to grow and excel in creative fields. The fellowship year culminates with an annual group show at a prominent gallery space.

PASEO PROJECT ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
"The Paseo Project Artist in Residence Program provides an opportunity for artists to envision, develop, and execute their work with the community of Taos, New Mexico. This project-based residency is set within a rural environment steeped in history, art, and culture. The Paseo Project holds to the tradition of bringing artists from around the world to both inspire and be inspired.
The Paseo Project Artist in Residence Program is currently seeking proposals for 2023. This unique opportunity provides artists time in the high desert of Northern New Mexico and with our community in the execution of their work. Selected artists are offered a 2 - 4 week residency between April - November 2023 and the use of a shared studio/office space, private accommodations, and a stipend. Working closely with the organization and local collaborators, artists will have the opportunity to research, design, and perform their work in the high desert of Northern New Mexico. There's a $15 application fee."
