Public Art Fund (“PAF”), New York’s leading presenter of contemporary art in public spaces, seeks a dynamic and experienced Director, Creative Partnerships to lead its Creative Partnerships department. eporting to the Artistic & Executive Director, the Director, Creative Partnerships leads the department across strategy, planning, management, and execution. Primary responsibilities are to provide custom tailored services, including art program planning, and to oversee the development and successful delivery of multiple ambitious artwork commissions within PAF’s consulting portfolio. The Director, Creative Partnerships is a successful and action-oriented team leader and strategic thinker, skilled at managing relationships with a wide range of clients, partners, and vendors, and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. As a small organization with outsize impact, success depends on not only having great ideas but also a practical mindset and hands-on ability to execute at all levels. The Brooklyn Museum is seeking a passionate, forward-thinking, creative, and art-loving individual to fulfill a crucial operations role as Development Assistant.The Development department is responsible for all fundraising activities, events, and liaising with key stakeholders across donor constituencies. It serves as the focal point of the Museum’s relationships with its supporters and key influencers in the community, as well as with the Museum’s programming and curatorial staff.
The New York Art Residency & Studios (NARS) Foundation is a non-profit arts organizations committed to supporting artists and curators on an international level as well as engaging the local community in Brooklyn and the Greater New York area. Working closely with the Director of NYFA Grants, the Program Officer will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of NYFA Awards and Grants programs, NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music and Theatre and the Canadian Women Artist Art Award. Both programs focus on supporting women identifying artists across all artistic disciplines, with a strong focus on film, media, theater and music.
The New York State Seed Funding Grant Program (the “Program”) was created to provide assistance to early-stage small businesses to succeed in a recovering New York State economy. Small businesses include Micro-businesses and For-profit independent arts and cultural organizations, including independent arts contractors. Grant awards will be calculated based upon the annual amount of gross receipts as shown on their provided 2020 or 2021 business tax return and will range from $5,000 to $20,000.

IMMIGRANT ARTIST MENTORING PROGRAM FOR VISUAL & MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTISTS
NYFA’s Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program (IAP) pairs immigrant artists with artist mentors who provide one-on-one support for their mentee, guiding them to achieve specific goals and providing them with broader access to the New York cultural world through an exchange of ideas, resources, and experiences.

The Bennett Prize is a stipend/grant-in-aid program to support the fine art practice of a woman painter working in figurative realism. The award ($50,000 total) is open to women visual artists 18 years or older residing at least part-time in the United States whose primary practice is the creation of original paintings in the genre of figurative realism, and who identify as a woman, regardless of their assigned gender at birth. This includes trans and cis women and nonbinary people. U.S. Citizenship is not required.

COMMUNITY ACTION FUND GRANT (ROLLING)
NDN Collective supports on the ground action to further the mission to build the collective power of Indigenous Peoples, communities and Nations to exercise inherent right to self-determination while fostering a world that is built on a foundation of justice and equity for all people and the planet. NDN Collecctive believes in, invest in, and support Indigenous self-determination. The Community Action Fund Grant is available on an ongoing basis as funds are available, with online applications due around the 1st of each month, April – October.
This program supports underrepresented and emerging women and non-binary artists in New York City. A.I.R. provides fellows with sponsored membership with A.I.R. Gallery for one year, professional development opportunities, a solo exhibition, an artist-mentor, and a stipend at the end of the program.

The South Arts State Fellowship (state fellowship) is a state-specific prize awarded to artists whose work reflects the best of the visual arts in the South. A national jury will select one winner per eligible state, for a group of nine-state fellows, based on artistic excellence that reflects and represents the diversity of the region. Each of the nine-state fellowship winners will be awarded a $5,000 state fellowship and will compete for one of the two Southern Prizes. State fellowship recipients will be required to attend the awards ceremony in late summer 2023.

The nine-state fellowship recipients will compete for the Southern Prize. The $25,000 Southern Prize will be awarded to the artist whose work demonstrates the highest artistic excellence, and a runner-up will be awarded a $10,000 Prize. Both Southern Prize recipients will also receive a two-week residency at The Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences. A separate national jury will convene to evaluate the body of work represented by the nine-state fellowship recipients and select the Prize winner and Finalist. Winners of the Southern Prize will be announced at the awards ceremony.

The Designed by Community Fellowship Program is a paid opportunity for Bronx residents to lead a new project for their neighborhood. This year’s project will focus on Digital Access, the idea that all people should be connected equally with technology and digital resources, especially those who have been historically under-resourced. We are not looking for tech experts - this opportunity will allow the community to lead a project based on what they think the Bronx needs. That could be printing services, a technology club, a space for digital creativity, or something totally different!

Community Arts (CA) supports local arts projects and activities that enable Bronx communities to experience and engage with the performing, literary, media, and visual arts. Grants range from $1000 t0 $5000.

Creative Arts Fellowships are available to accomplished practitioners of the performing arts of India and creative artists who demonstrate that study in India would enhance their skills, develop their capabilities to teach or perform in the U.S., enhance American involvement with India’s artistic traditions or strengthen their links with peers in India. Awards will normally be for periods of up to four months, although proposals for periods of up to nine months can be considered.
