COLLECTIONS MANAGER

The Collections Manager is responsible for the physical and intellectual aspects of the Weeksville Heritage Center collection of artifacts, documents, photographs, textiles, and other objects. The Collections Manager ensures that objects are properly cared for, often managing storage, conservation and record-keeping associated with objects. City Artist Corps Grants are intended to support NYC-based working artists who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. TOLEDO GLASS CITY CONVENTION CENTER PUBLIC ART PROJECT

The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo’s Art in Public Places Program looks to commission new public art for the soon to be renovated Glass City Convention Center. A Design Review Board (DRB) plans to select three artists to design public art installations to be integrated into 3 designated areas with a budget ranging from $55,000 tp $190,000. MONUMENT LAB

Monument Lab is excited to announce Re:Generation – an open call for locally-grounded, grassroots art and justice projects in 2022. They invite applications from collaborative teams rooted within a neighborhood, city, or region in the United States inclusive of Indigenous nations and communities, U.S. territories, and cross-border collectives. Each Re:Generation team will receive a total of $100,000 toward their local commemorative campaign or project. Proposed projects might include: reimagining a city’s arts commission; developing a reparations-driven policy for public parks and places; redesigning public spaces with new proposed monuments through the lenses of racial and gender justice; visualizing narratives and networks of diaspora and migration; developing a public curriculum that tells a region’s story of urban renewal, land dispossession, or rural exploitation; creating a digital resource and archive that incorporates oral histories and a virtual interface or public exhibition; devising new art and history installations at sites of legacy monuments; or pursuing a variety of other approaches to creative campaigns.


CREATE CHANGE FELLOWSHIP & RESIDENCY

The Laundromat Project invites all NYC-based artists, activists, neighbors, designers, organizers, healers, storytellers, and cultural producers to apply for the 2022 Create Change program as we explore social practices through a community engagement lens. The program will consist of a series of hybrid (virtual and in-person) convenings to engage The LP’s community-based art pedagogy and practices, which center collaborative, cooperative, and co-created art projects.

SUNROOM PROJECT SPACE

The Sunroom Project Space is a venue for New York-area emerging artists to develop a site-specific project as a solo exhibition at Wave Hill. The two exhibition spaces for 2022 are the windowed Sunroom and Sun Porch in Glyndor Gallery. We are seeking artist projects that engage with the site, Wave Hill’s history, other aspects of the grounds, or surrounding communities. Projects in any media will be considered. Four artists will be selected for solo exhibitions indoors. Selected artists will receive an honorarium of $2000, exhibition support, and professional development.

Eligibility: Eligible artists must not be represented by a commercial gallery, not be a student, and not have previously shown at Wave Hill. Artists should live within a 50-mile radius of the Bronx

At the core of Fountainhead’s mission is the belief that artists and their work can shift hearts and minds toward a more hopeful and equitable future. CREATIVE FUTURES GRANT

Through the Creative Futures Grant, Black Artists and Designers Guild is providing opportunities to four selected undergraduate and graduate Black students in Architecture, Design and Fine Art to receive the $5000 award, a chance to join the cannon of Black Art & Design and bring their art and design dreams closer to becoming reality.

Eligibility: Black-identifying third and fourth-year undergraduate students & graduate students currently enrolled at US-based institutions. US citizenship is not a requirement for eligibility but you must have a US-based bank account for award disbursement.

SHADE SCREENS FOR PHOENIX TRANSIT SHELTERS

The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture’s Public Art Program is requesting qualifications from artists to design perforated steel shade screens for multiple City of Phoenix bus shelters to increase shade coverage for transit users. The new bus shelters will promote a distinctive identity for communities and expand the Public Art Program’s award-winning series of artist-designed shade structures. This is an excellent opportunity for 2D artists (painters, printmakers, muralists, graphic designers, weavers, fabric artists, etc.) with little to no public art experience to step outside their studio practice to work with the community to enhance bus shelters with original artwork and provide additional shade for commuters.

FIVE POINT ARCHWAY PUBLIC ART PROJECT

Greenville, NC’s Pitt County Arts Council invites visual and graphic artists to create an original design for the Five Points Archway Public Art Project in this call for proposal. ArtBridge is one of several nonprofit organizations selected to implement City Artist Corps -- a Mayor's Office initiative that will fund hundreds of artists to culturally revitalize NYC as it emerges from the pandemic. PUBLIC ART MURAL GRANT

This Public Art Mural Grant is a four-week residency in which an artist will create an original work for WSW’s mural wall. The mural space at Women’s Studio Workshop faces the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail (WVRT), which is an active outdoor public trail used primarily for walking, running and cycling. The grant includes a stipend of $350/week, $500 for materials, $250 for travel, and free on-campus housing.

STOCKTON BASKETBALL COURT MURALS

Stockton California City Council recently approved a City-wide Court Resurfacing Project which is scheduled to begin earlier this month. The project includes the resurfacing of 112 basketball, tennis, handball, and multi-use courts at 33 parks city-wide. In an effort to enhance the basketball court resurfacing taking place at Dentoni Park, the City is seeking proposals from qualified Artists or Art organizations with relevant experience designing and managing the installation of large-scale themed murals or abstract design to the playing surface of outdoor basketball courts and backboards or a surface similar in scale to the playing surface of a basketball court.

EUREKA CHINATOWN PROJECT/ EUREKA STREET ART FESTIVAL

The Eureka Chinatown Project is looking for a muralist to commemorate Eureka's lost Chinatown and current Chinese community here in Eureka. This mural will be part of the 2021 Eureka Street Art Festival. The mural will be in Old Town where the former Chinatown once stood before the Expulsion of 1885. NEVAL THOMAS ELEMENTARY BEAUTIFICATION

#GoodArtFam is looking for muralists to participate in the beautification of Neval Thomas Elementary in Washington D.C. Artwork should be inspirational for young elementary students that elevates their sense of self-worth or their ability to become whatever they dream. Artists are encouraged to demonstrate different styles of art: typography, abstract, graffiti/street art, etc. in their mural renderings. This will give a chance for the students to see the very wide range of artistic expression that the world has to offer. This is a 100% volunteer artist opportunity and is not compensated. Each artist is responsible for providing their own supplies for their mural. TEACHING ARTIST

Children Museum of Art is looking for Remote Artist Instructors to provide engaging learning opportunities through the arts for students enrolled in online Summer Studio programs. Camps take place via Zoom and run weekly from July 5 to August 27 (Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM). Vancouver Mural Festival (VMF) returns this summer with an expanded 3-week celebration of murals across the city. CHASHAMA IMMIGRANT ARTIST FELLOWSHIP

Chashama is highlighting Immigrant Teaching Artists by offering free studio space for 3 months at our Upper East Side Studio building (340 E 64th Street). We are looking for artists who have an interest in engaging the community through showcasing visual art, but also through hosting workshops, performances, talks, etc. 

The space has a large garden level window, on a street that has regular foot traffic.

PRINCE GEORGE PUBLIC ART BUS SHELTER

Prince George, Maryland is inviting all artists to respond to their call for qualifications to add artwork to bus shelters. This public art project will consist of multiple sustainable features, that will highlight civic interaction, collaborative partnerships, and the improvement of the quality of life. These bus shelters are designed to activate neighborhood advancements and to serve as aesthetically pleasing landmarks for years to come. Artwork created will represents stories, culture, and architectural elements of the 6 participating municipalities. Artists and artist teams are asked to submit qualifications and portfolios if interested.

AUGMENTED REALITY PUBLIC ART PROJECT

The City of Santa Clarita, CA is seeking an artist for its Augmented Reality Public Art Project. It is currently accepting proposals for a series of thematic artworks which invoke interactivity, storytelling, and site-specificity to create dialogue with the surroundings and audience. Artwork may be informed by the environment, community, and history in which viewers encounter them. The selected digital artworks will allow users to view virtual art installations geo-positioned around the Old Town Newhall Arts and Entertainment District

MARSHALLTOWN PERFORMING ARTS FOUNDATION PUBLIC ART COMMISSION

The Marshalltown Performing Arts Foundation and the Marshalltown Community School District/High School is seeking an artist or artist-led team for the commissioning of a work of art for permanent installation at the Marshalltown Performing Arts Center in Marshalltown, Iowa. UPMC Hamot Patient Care Tower Call for Artists

Erie Arts & Culture, on behalf of the Hamot Health Foundation and UPMC Hamot, is requesting qualifications from artist(s) to create artwork in the newly constructed UPMC Hamot Patient Care Tower located in Erie, Pennsylvania. The finished artwork is expected to translate UPMC’s central values of diversity, equity, and inclusion into a visual narrative. The artwork will be installed in a first floor hallway spanning approximately 140’ in length and may consist of both 2D work, 3D work, or a combination of both.

CITY OF THORTON RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT

The city of Thornton is seeking to commission original public art. This project will commission a graffiti-style mural that will have a strong visual impact, engage visitors (specifically, youth), and push Thornton into a contemporary setting. The final design should include dynamic style elements and visual ques that speak to the community and add beauty to inspire creativity and local pride. Interested artists should respond to the call of qualification.

VOICES FOR CHANGE

Artists and artist collectives in all disciplines are invited to submit proposals for ArtsWestchester’s inaugural Voices for Change project grant. Applicants are encouraged to submit projects that include a collaboration with a cultural, service or community-based organization. ArtsWestchester will award three (3) $10,000 project grants through a competitive selection process. Voices for Change seeks to support visionary work that addresses the following categories: Social Change, Social Justice, Civic Equity and the Public Good. Unless otherwise appropriate, completed works will be debuted at ArtsWestchester by October 31, 2022.

CITY OF REEDSBURG PUBLIC ART CALL

The Reedsburg Park and Recreation Committee is seeking proposals from artists to create a mural project to highlight Reedsburg’s culture, history, and geography. Interested artists are asked to submit a proposal along with their application.

OREGON SUPREME COURT PUBLIC ART RFQ

The Oregon Arts Commission’s Art in Public Places Program is seeking artists to respond to their request for qualifications for a commission at the Oregon Supreme Court Building in Salem, OR. The commission artist(s) will create new site-specific, interior artwork in the building. Artwork will reflect the Oregon Judicial Department’s values to provide fair and accessible justice services that protect the rights of individuals, preserve community welfare, and inspire public confidence. The selection committee has proposed specific locations: grand staircase wall, the floor of the courtroom and walls inside the courtroom that would be best suited for art installations within the historical building.

AMPLIFIER #VACCINATED ART CALL

Last year, in response to COVID-19, Amplifier launched a Global Open Call for Art to promote public health and safety, wellbeing, and social change work. One year later, incredible scientific progress means that this pandemic can end but only if we can get the world #vaccinated. Working collaboratively with Team Halo, Amplifier is offering $1,000 to artists to help build a campaign around vaccination. Hospitals and public health institutions around the world will then help distribute these messages where they are needed the most.

UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA RFQ

The University of Florida is accepting portfolios from artists and artist collectives to create artwork in Data Science and Information Technology Building. Housing the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, the College of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy and the Informatics Institute, the selection committee has identified various sites for public artwork. Selected finalists will be compensated to create a site-specific proposal.

THE HARPO FOUNDATION GRANT

The Harpo award provides direct support to under-recognized artists 21 years or older. Awards are made of up to $10,000. Grants are made to support the development of artists’ work and a grantee may use their award to support any activity toward that purpose. There is a $15 application fee.

ART BUSINESS ACCELERATOR

Artwork Archive's Art Business Accelerator Grant provides emerging and established visual artists with unrestricted funds, resources, and a curriculum to help establish, grow and manage their art careers. The grant is designed to arm artists with the necessary business skills to succeed as artists and entrepreneurs to make a living through their artwork.

QTIBIPOC+ TEACHING ARTISTS

Community organization, Get Loud Movement, is seeking Teaching Artists to lead our 2021 virtual writing and visual art workshops with an emphasis on Social Justice Advocacy and/or Mental Health Issues & Awareness. Their workshops are dedicated to supporting QTIBIPOC+ artists and their creative expressions as well as cultivating community.
