Department of Transportation (DOT) ArtSs 20201 Artervention application is now live. Arts, community-based organizations, galleries, BIDs & other cultural institutions are invited to submit proposals to install temporary public art on NYC DOT infrastructure citywide (sidewalks, triangle medians, bridges, steps, plazas). Proposals can range from painted murals to sculptures. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Not a Monolith is a forthcoming public art and professional development initiative presented by Facebook Open Arts and We The Culture in partnership with ArtBridge. Residency Unlimited (RU) invites visual artists who identify as Black to apply for a three-month residency from April 5 - July 2, 2021. RU welcomes applications from NYC-based visual artists who work across media and whose practices are research-based and geared towards filling in gaps in historical knowledge. Four artists will be selected from applications reviewed by a jury of arts professionals together with RU staff. The 2021 NYC-Based Artist Residency Program is directed by guest curator Rachel Raphaela Gugelberger, an NYC-based curator with a focus on place-based practices around social, cultural, and civic issues.

The Cultural Solidarity Fund will open with $100,000 distributing an initial 200 $500 relief micro-grants to artists and cultural workers based in New York City. The CSF aims to direct funds specifically to artists and all cultural workers from administrators to the janitors who are in most urgent need of assistance with rent, groceries, medical expenses and other essential services. At this time CSF asks that you do not apply for a microgrant for your creative work. Application opens February 26th.

The Solo Exhibition Open Call provides emerging and under-recognized artists the necessary resources to present an exhibition at CUE in 2022. In addition, exhibiting artists each receive a $5,000 honorarium and an accompanying exhibition catalogue. There is a $15 fee for entry.

School Partners USA offers workers nine months of focused training and support for those who see engaging public schools as part of their mission. We provide full scholarships, best practice training, and coaching by some of the most experienced public school partners in the nation. Participants create school engagement plans, produce crossover events or projects, and establish relationships for long-term mission impact.
