The Lupin Foundation, Atlanta Celebrates Photography sets out to find fresh thinkers with exciting novel ideas for creating a temporary public art exhibition in Atlanta which will use the power of photography as a catalyst for dialogue to stimulate cultural transformation. The artistic team (curator + artist, artist collective or individual artist) will determine the concept, content, and form of the exhibition. They will also be asked to contribute ideas for public programming with the aim of deepening the impact of the project. No media restrictions have been established in order to ensure maximum creativity for participating artists. Princeton Arts Fellowships will be awarded to artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Applicants should be early career who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community. Fellows spend two consecutive academic years at Princeton University and formal teaching is expected yet but fellows may be asked to take on an artistic assignment in lieu of a class, such as directing a play or creating a dance with students. CREATIVE EQUATION FUND: ADVOCACY + IMMIGRANT VOICES
Supported by Brooklyn Arts Council & New American Economy this $2,500 grant will be awarded to 6 artists. An additional $1000 will awarded to the project considered most effective at culminating exhibition. The New Americans Fellowship is designed to commission creation of work by immigrant artists that integrates data from New American Economy’s research in order to advocate for and educate about the positive impact immigrants have on local and national economies and cultures. Projects can be in any medium – visual, dance, spoken word, theater, film/video/media etc.
