The Arts & Science Council is accepting qualifications from artists/artist teams for a public art opportunity at the new Mecklenburg County North East Community Resource Center (NE CRC). The selected artist/ artist team will work with the ASC, Mecklenburg County Asset and Facilities Management, Gensler, and the communities of North East Charlotte, NC to create an impactful, integrated artwork that responds to the parameters of the site, the aesthetics of the architecture, and assists in creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space. Multiple potential sites and opportunities for the artwork have been identified. The selected artist or artist team will be involved in the site selection of the artwork and coordinate with the project team regarding art integration.
